| Located in the Southwestern United
States, Arizona frequently thought of as dessert land, actually has
quite a diverse topography including the Grand Canyon and many high
peaks exceeding 10,000 feet (3,048 meters) above sea level. Arizona
is one of the few places in the world where you can go skiing / snowboarding
and play golf in the same day. Given the altitude of many peaks in
Arizona it is not unusual to get heavy snowfalls overnight in the
mountains. Be weary when traveling to the high peaks regions... the
driving can get treacherous! |
